Joyce
Hofeling has been teaching reading and language skills to dyslexics and training
teachers to help dyslexic students through the Slingerland Institute since 1978.
She has a B.S. in Elementary Education and a M.Ed. in Learning Disabilities
from the University of Utah. She was an Elementary teacher and Learning Disability
Specialist with Murray School District for 25 years and taught 10 years at Prentice
School, a private school for dyslexic students, in Orange County, California.
Joyce is a Director of Teacher Training for the Slingerland Institute for Literacy,
an adjunct professor for the University of San Diego, and a private tutor.
